every day activities - bath time 1/8/22

1/8/2022

Bath Time Can Be A Learning Opportunity! (handout)
Bath Time (handout)
  • By talking about body parts and items in the tub, your child can learn new vocabulary.
  • By talking about how the water feels, or how the soap smells, your child can learn how things feel, and new words to describe their experience in the bath tub.
  • By having your child help fill the bath, your child learns cause and effect (mixing the water for the right temperature) and math skills (volume and depth).
  • By singing a fun song in the tub or while drying off, your child learns early literacy and social skills.
  • By letting your child play with toys, such as different size cups in the tub, they learn fine motor skills (hand-eye coordination) and math skills (volume and measurement).
Book of the Week: Please purchase or borrow "The Big Red Bath" to read along with us during KPL.
