Birth to 5 Support

Developmental Screening Program
Our developmental screening program uses the Ages & Stages Questionnaire(ASQ:SE-2/ ASQ-3) to support families as they track their children’s development in an effort to promote healthy child development and promote school readiness. Between screenings, our staff will stay connected with the families by offering them fun activities they can do with their child, sharing parent education materials, and providing information about helpful community resources.

Promoting First Relationships
Children grow and thrive in the context of close and dependable relationships that provide love, nurturance, security, responsive interaction, and encouragement for their exploration.
Promoting First Relationships (PFR) program that supports families in navigating these concepts as they build a nurturing relationship with their young children.

Youth programs

Through our partnership with Child Care Resources, FFYB provides child development training to youth ages 12-24 who support their families at home with caring for their younger siblings. In these leadership trainings, youth gain knowledge of early brain development and First Aid/CPR, and creating a safe home environment for their younger siblings. Youth also learn how the skills and knowledge gained through this training can lead to a variety of careers.

Our Main Programs Include:
  • Tutoring & Homework Help
  • Career Exploration (DiscoverU)
  • Growth Mindset Training
  • Youth Marijuana Prevention & Education Program (YMPEKC)
  • Leap Into Science
