clothing assistance

Families can turn to several clothing closets in Washington state for assistance. The charities may offer winter or professional attire, free school supplies or household furniture, kitchen goods, diapers and much more. A few dozen non-profit centers in the region provide a number of services to families, seniors, pregnant mothers, and others who need help in the greater Seattle area. The items include free school uniforms as well as supplies, work uniforms, clothes for everyday use, and even furniture and/or appliances as needed.
Most of the organizations focus on addressing a certain type of need. For example some clothing closets may distribute baby clothing and toys while others will have free work and school clothing for students or the unemployed. In addition there are some low cost thrift stores  which focus on furniture, beds, baby items, and related goods. If a location can't meet your needs then they may have referrals or suggestions for you. The bottom line is that the sites help thousands of people every year with meeting their basic needs as well as by distributing free stuff to families.
Locations also rely on donations and volunteers. This will often help determine what is available for distribution. They are also accepting donations of lightly used clothes and furniture items. Select your city below to find the nearest locations to you.
